A little bulkier than I prefer; however,they are functional, comfortable for long walking, & travel.
I replaced a simplier ecco shoe that is no longer available with this one, and prefer the old style that was smooth leather with a 3 eyelet tie on the side- VERY SIMPLE!

I first saw the Ecco shoes in Florence, Italy. I wanted to stop and try a pair on - but gosh it was zoom, zoom. I kept thinking about the shoe and I just by chance found an Ecco store located in San Jose, CA - I tried various styles (I wanted a pair for the cold/rainy days). I am glad I went with the Clay Strap - the shoe fits well, it is comfortable, the arch is right where it is suppose to be, the roomy toe box and I love the style. I thought I wanted to go with the Sky Bootie - read great things about the bootie. What cinched it - was the ease of getting in and out of the shoe.
