I bought these boots to wear for my spring trip to Ireland and Britain. I was mainly concerned with comfort during long days of walking, and waterproofing. They definitely fit the bill. I was planning to wear these boots during the day for all activities and have them transition into evenings out... They worked perfect for both. These shoes hardly left my feet (except to sleep) for six weeks of rain, mud, hiking, sightseeing, dinners out, and everything else in between. The only complaint I would have is that because of the stretchy material throughout the boot, there is practically no ankle support... but with care, a very accident prone person didn't have any sprained ankles. I would definitely buy these boots again, although I don't anticipate having to because they have held up so well! :)

I purchased these boots in warmer weather and have not yet worn them. However, they are extremely comfortable, easy on & easy off, gore-tex lined for wet & snowy weather or total comfort for a dry & cold day. They are all I look for in a great shoe / boot. Homerun for ECCO.

I like these boots because they are so light and comfortable to wear. Since I have a narrow foot, an insole is require. I plan on using them in my travels.

I bought a pair of Biom Trainers and was very very happy so I looked more closely at the ecco boots. I took notice of a reveiw that said the user had traveled to Italy and wore them daily. I travel a lot and love to wear boots with pencil skirts. Fashion as well as comfort is a big deal to me. However walking for 3-6 hours is a always a fashion challenge. So I bought this boot. It is simple in its design. I have a narrow calf and this is a bit loose but not overly so and it does not gap at the top like most leather boots. I tried it on with skirts, casual dresses and pants and it looked good with everything. Casual but stylish. It seems a bit big size wise but I kept it so that I could use various orthotics and also thick socks. The final test was a NYC trip. I walked for hours and the boot was great. I was surprised that my feet were never cold. It was a biting 10 degrees in NYC and my legs and feet were fine. So yes this is a great lightweight boot. I also have some feet problems, ie emerging(still small) bunions that I baby and also a morton neuroma that can flare up. My foot was fine after a day of walking. No post walk inflammation. Thanks Ecco. Great boot for me.

I agree with other reviewers - the length is a bit odd, it cuts right in the middle of my calfs, not lower not higher, which either way works for me. if it was 2 inches taller and can wear like real tall boots, I would love to keep them. too bad.
btw, ecco size has been very consistent over the years, I found size 40 always always fits me so well, whileas in other brands, I have to try both 9 or 9 and half.

I have terrible knees and have had multiple sprained ankles. Thus i have barely worn anything other than sneakers. These shoes are the first shoe other than sneakers my doctors and family have allowed me to wear. They are very fashionable. they are also extremely supportive and are well worth the money.

I bought this boot to walk with my neighbors on rainy days (I live in Seattle). It is perfect, not too warm to make my feet sweat but definitely kept my feet dry. I am so pleased that I can wear it to get some exercise as well as to go anywhere, dressy or casual. Great investment!!!

I bought these boots before a walking trip to Tuscany. Aside from my hiking boots, these were the only other pair of shoes I took and they were the perfect, comfortable multi purpose, light and easy to pack, goes with a skirt or pants, perfect travel shoes! Everyone else packed 3 - 4 pairs of shoes, but my one pair worked with every outfit plus they were as comfortable as sneakers. My feet never ached despite hours of walking through stone streets of Medieval Tuscan towns. The only con is that they hit mid calf and I prefer they were higher and hit below the knee, but oh well - can't have everything. These boots are made for walking and traveling!
