This is an every day go to sandal. It can be dressed up or down just a multi-use shoe. After reading some previous reviews about the discomfort caused by the buckles, I wasn't sure about purchasing. I'm so glad I did. I didn't have any problems. I plan to take these on my trip to New Zealand.

This shoe has the same sole and feel as the Groove Gladiator, which has been discontinued. PLEASE bring the gladiator back. It has better strap support over the foot. One huge difference is the Gladiator had a single velcro closure at the ankle that was super easy to put on in airports and comfortable as there were no buckles to rub against the foot.

Two issues with both styles, no arch support and a thin footbed. This shoe could be the best walking sandal ever made with a few modifications. While the footbed is very flexible and soft, increasing it's thickness a bit would provide better comfort for the long walking day. Adding an arch support would also make it more supportive. I would travel with this sandal and half way through the day my arches would start to have pulls in them (I don't usually have arch issues). Ecco, please consider these improvements to an already great shoe, and PLEASE bring back the Groove Gladiator. It looked much more stylish for the 30's crowd!

It's a little too long and wide for my feet but I put extra holes to fit. Not perfect and wish it was 1/2 smaller...I'm size 5 so can't go lower. Bought my mom a pair and she loves it. If it fits, you can walk on these forever!

nice comportable slim shoe with
a soft inner sole for long walking days

..if it wasn't for the shoe buckles!
they gave wounds to my feet, not just a blister
it cut trough my skin! (on both feet)
i still have marks since last year.

isn't it so easy just sewing on a tiny soft
material underneath the sharp edges of the buckles?
(or have buckles with round edges?)

i can't wear them without plasters.. :o(

I love the look of this shoe especially in the copper color. However, from the first use the elastic that attaches the buckle frays and tiny wire-like things stick out and scrape the top of my foot. I have scabs from the scrapes. The first pair I returned and exchanged for another pair thinking it was a fluke. It happened on one shoe and not the other. The staff was great at the store and let me exchange the shoes with no hassle even though I had bought the shoe online. Then the second pair had the same problem occur with both feet at the first wearing and now I have scabs on both feet. Planning to return these and get a different model. Too bad because the shoe is otherwise so cute and comfortable.

I am an instructional coach at a middle school in Arizona. My school has an outside (hot)hallway campus and I can put up to 13,000 steps on a pedometer in one eight hour day. I received many compliments the first day I wore them, and they kept my feet cool and comfortable. There was no time needed to break them in! I love these sandals and recommended them to everyone!

These were my 2nd pair of ecco's and I wasn't disappointed. I have arthritis in my foot and I could walk in comfort. Couldn't be happier.
