Love the boot- bought it twice. One a half size bigger for winter socks. The upper part of the mock toe wore out on both pairs- the cobbler was able to fix it twice on both, need replacement for the third go around. For heavy hunting or brush walks I would recommend a solid leather toe. All day comfort and no break in period!

ABSOLUTELY NO BREAK-IN IS REQUIRED. FEET NEVER GET SORE EVEN WHEN HIKING ALL DAY. I HAVE OWNED SEVERAL PAIRS AND WILL CONTINUE TO PURCHASE THIS BRAND.

I'm on my third pair of these boots - I wear them out because of how much I use them. I spend 60+ days in the field hunting every year. I've worn these in snow covered mountains, deserts, swamps, marshes, 110+ weather, -10 weather, rain, Africa, Alaska, Rocky Mountains, etc. I have yet to find a better all around boot that can handle a wide variety of conditions.

I was a mailman for 9 years, every boot that I would buy (Hightec,etc) would wear out in 6-9 months. I bought a pair of these Eccos, and they lasted 5 years!! I walked 6.5 miles each day on the mailroute, with the FL heat and heavy rain everyday. It is well worth the money to buy these boots. I preached Ecco to the UPS guys and now they love them also.
