Comments about ECCO Seattle Apron Toe Tie:
After 18 months of use, these shoes have worn very well. I have had no issues with the leather nor the sole. I just polished the shoes last night for the first time and I was surprised how little wear the sole showed. Leather shows normal creases where it bends and I recommend purchasing cedar shoe trees for all your dress shoes to help decrease this effect from normal wear. I didn't give this shoe 5 stars because I'd like to see how they do at the end of year 3 (which is a pretty long lifespan for every day shoes).
My attire is mostly business casual and I have worn these shoes 5 days/week. If you are worried about styling, these shoes go well with both wool pants or more casual clothes such as dark jeans & blazer. I'm in my early 30's and this shoe does NOT have an "orthopedic" look. In my opinion, I think Ecco has expanded their model selection due to this negative connotation. These are classic dress shoes.
The burgundy color of this shoe gives it a more refined look which blends well with various pant types. However, in my opinion the black color of this shoe is slightly underdressed for a suit. Also, the embossed logo on the side promotes cheapness and I don't like advertisements on formal clothing. So if you only wear a suit a couple times a year as I do, then these shoes will be fine for such few instances. I'd much rather be comfortable most of my work days with these rubber soled shoes than the more expensive leather soled shoes from other brands. Even though they last a lifetime and can be resoled, most of the leather sole shoes are uncomfortable for those long work days.
Again, do yourself a favor and purchase a nice set of split toe cedar shoe trees and AE premium shoe polish for this particular shoe model. They will extend the life of this product.

Comments about ECCO Seattle Apron Toe Tie:
I just received this shoe, so i cannot comment on durability or long-term. But it looks like a high end shoe, and is confortable as well.
Thats the combo i was looking for. If it hold up like my othe ECCO shoes have, then all is well.

Comments about ECCO Seattle Apron Toe Tie:
I had replaced a glued sole ECCO shoe that was tearing apart at the sole. I was told by a local shoe repair that it couldn't be fixed because the hide had been laid the wrong way. Apparently there is a grain direction.
I approached ECCO to see if they could fix it. After a short time they allowed me to replace the shoe with another. After talking with my local shoe store I chose a sewn sole shoe instead of glued and it fit as comfortably. I should also mention that I had the shoes longer than a year.
