I bought these shoes because I thought they could take me from daytime to night wear during a recent trip to Paris, France. They were comfortable in the store, and I intended to wear them with socks or knee highs, depending on the weather. I ended up having to wear them with added socks because they became wider and looser every day I wore them. My foot tended to slip forward constantly, mashing my toes. Walking in Paris meant navigating uneven sidewalks and some cobblestones and the soles proved to be so thin this was almost torture. Thank goodness I brought a second pair of shoes with me that had far better soles for that kind of walking. These shoes were a very expensive mistake.

I have loved my Ecco shoes in the past. I have 2 leather pairs that I wear all the time and have had for a couple of years. However, these have stretched out so much in the 2 or 3 times I have worn them that I can barely keep them on!

Bought these at a local Dept.Store in the late afternoon.I wear a size 9.5 W and the clerk brought me a 40.Tried them, seemed a bit tight but clerk advised that this is my size and that this type of fabric will give after a few wearings.So I bought the 40 as he seemed knowledgeable.Wore them twice, once in mid- morning,second time late day, each for about six hours.My feet were squashed,toes cramped and tingling and overall these were uncomfortable.Look great but too uncomfortable to wear as I had hoped. They are being gifted to the nearest friend with smaller feet!

Having read prior raves about this shoe, I decided on this pair, but was disappointed once I stepped onto concrete. I was running late, so had no choice but to continue my route to work. My short walk from car to public transportation was uncomfortable. I normally wear a size 8 M, but this shoe leaves too much room and the insole is slippery even when wearing medium cotton socks, which are slightly thinner than tube socks. My foot slides to the very front of the shoe, and my heel is not well supported, which may be from a lack of arch/sole support. My footsteps do not feel stable. I would think an older individual could easily end up with an ankle sprain with this fit. Not quite sure how to describe it in less words. I have not had an opportunity to check the goretex value of the shoe, but that was a deciding factor here. If the shoe fits, wear it. I hope it's not too late to exchange.

I bought these shoes for my Mother. She started to wear them on day 1 and she says she loves this shoes. The most comfortable thing she ever wore. She wears them at school where she teaches. Lots of compliments. Thank you Ecco for building quality of shoes.

I wear these shoes with business and casual attire. I don't wear them with dressy dresses, although I wish I could.
