Have been looking forever for a boot that was stylish riding boot style that I could walk in for blocks and blocks. In the rain if necessary, as I live in Seattle. I have had issues and some surgery on my feet, but still walk everywhere, so true walking comfort is paramount for me, closely followed by "looks good" and "handles the weather". And also -- warm enough but not too warm for our mild winters. This boot has it for me. Very comfortable walk, sole that doesn't slip on wet pavement, the right height on the shaft, anice detailing at the top of the shaft, great deep brown color, easy zip on and off. The only downside I have found so far is that while the inside of the boot is lined partially with leather, there is also a fabric of some kind which felt scratchy on my calf and therefore I will probably wear it with knee high socks. Not really a big deal. Second, the finish color seems to be fairly easily scuffed. So I would expect these boots to lighten in color with wearing, which is also OK -- will lend them character. I've had Ecco's before, loved them, and they lasted forever, so I am happily looking forward to a long career with these boots.
I put that they felt a half size big as they were quite roomy in the toe box, but the more I walk in the them I am finding this very comfortable.
