This is the 5th pair of these I've owned (previously the Track 2) and I love the shoe and recommend. That said, I do not like two of the changes on the Track 6.
First, they've changed the lacing: it's still 4 eyeholes (slots where the laces go through), but now the space between the top two eyeholes is bigger which is less comfortable for walking since you have to tie them very tight to keep a tight fit; didn't need to tie them so tight when the space between the top two eyeholes was the same as between the rest of the eyeholes. I also see no benefit in changing the top eyehole from the reinforced leather to a metal squiggle thing but no harm either.
Second, I prefer the old sole. New one seems less cushiony. It may last better however. One reason I kept getting new Track 2s was that the soles wore out and on one pair partially came apart; the other reason would be the New Buc uppers wear out and eventually you have to shoe polish them if you want to wear them to work. I don't consider either of these to have been a defect. I wore each pair almost daily for several years -- I'd buy a new pair to wear to work and use the old pair for working in the yard and taking the dog for walks over very rocky ground -- so wear and tear was to be expected and I would have given them an A for durability.
