I bought a pair of these before going to Europe where I knew I would be walking a lot. They held up and saved me from pain and discomfort of too much walking with incorrect shoes!

I bought these shoes on line based on looks. They look great off, but when you put them on, the toe box is really long and narrow, making your foot look about a size or two larger than. I normally wear a 46-47 so I can't afford to have my feet look any larger. The fit wasn't horrible, but not your typical ECCO unbelievably nice, soft feeling. They also have a thinner sole than usual. These may not look so bad on a smaller foot.

Great looking shoe. Wanted to use this as my every-day knock-around shoe. May still work out after break-in and some stretching. After a couple of days I realized it fits quite narrowly through the ball of the foot.
If you have a wider toe area, you're not going to be happy. You can kinda tell by looking at the shape of the toe box.
The cloth/leather model I have doen't breath well. Hot feet in the summer (?!). Will likely be much better when weather is cooler.

I have been a loyal Ecco customer for a long time. I love the fact that I know my size and it always fits....until this time. The toe/front is too narrow, not typical of all the Ecco shoes I have had. The shoe is very stiff and should break in nice but if you have a wide foot, this probaly is not for you.

I'm a bartender and I have started wearing them to work just this past week. First day the shoes were a little stiff and uncomfortable but day 2 much better and by now they are a perfect fit and comfortable all night. I wish there was just a little more cushion, but overall, certainly a 4 out of 5.

I wear these to work all the time (business casual environment) switching off with other pairs of Ecco shoes (never wear the same shoes two days in a row--let them air out). I also wear them when we go out if casual attire.

These are the most elegant looking sneakers I have ever seen. I wasn't that taken with the color at first--OK, not great, but they darken with in a few weeks and look even better. They are very light and comfortable. They make great driving shoes--almost forget that you have them on. I've been wearing them in pretty warm weather, and they feel cooler than I expected.

All of that said, I would like a little more arch support, and the cushioning in the (thin) sole is almost non-existent. My first pair of Eccos were not dsigned for hiking, but I have been using them for light hiking for over five years--incredibly comfortable and cushy. I wish I could say the same for the Summer Sneakers. I take my dog for a very brisk, two-mile walk, every day after work. I've only done that twice in these shoes and not since. There is simply not enough cushion for walking two miles on pavement--I like my feet too much to do that to them. I do not think twice about wearing my two other pair of Eccos on or off pavement for two or more miles.

Conclusion: Great style, high quality, look (color) that improves with age, comfortable, light, and cool. Not a "walking" shoe but otherwise a really good shoe.

Another great shoe from Ecco. In my opinion no other brand beats Ecco's already-broken-in feel and attention to walking comfort, this shoe is no different. My last pair of casual shoes from Ecco were similar to the Riveto, the sole on the Summer Sneaker seems as though it is much more durable. I live in the city without a car and walk quickly at least 3 miles a day, after a week of wearing these I'm totally satisfied with the build and comfort. They don't have the huge arch support of my previous Eccos but that's not to say I have any problems, the arch support in these is good and makes a very natural and neutral step. My only comment as someone also noticed was that they seem "pointier" than is common for sneakers, but I think also that the shine of the leather draws attention to that. After a couple weeks probably not so noticeable.

The shoe fits and wears great and I love the sole which is on the flatter side. I don't care so much for the appearance of the toe, which is long and narrow. I would like a more rounded toe. You call it "sleek". I call it "pointy".

I'm totally satisfied with these shoes. They are comfortable, fit perfectly, and are more dressy than gym shoes but still casual, just right!
